Sinja Dieks

Sinja Dieks grew up in a small village in the Ruhr region. In search of adventure, she was already in circus management as a child, training and performing aerial and floor acrobatics. This was followed by dance training in Essen, then the first state examination in medicine in Hamburg and finally acting studies at the HFF Konrad Wolf in Potsdam. Now living in Berlin, Dieks embodies a variety of character roles in theatre, film and TV. With her first leading role she was immediately nominated for the "Deutscher Schauspielpreis".

The unconditional desire to tell her own stories also led Dieks to screenwriting.

In 2018/19 she developed her first feature film, the family drama "Ich sehe das, was du nicht siehst" (I see what you don't see), as a scholarship holder at the Drehbuchwerkstatt München.

This was immediately followed by the Nuremberg Authorship Scholarship in 2019 / 20. The feature film "Familienroman" (Family Novel), which was made there, is quite comedic and at the cutting edge of time, and is also waiting in the wings to be realised.
