Udita Bhargava lives and works between Germany and India.Her debut feature DUST, a German-Indian co-production premiered at the 69. Berlinale 2019. Her shorts have been screened and awarded at film festivals across the world, including the 3Sat Prize at the Oberhausen Film Festival for Imraan, C/o Carrom Club.

Udita has studied film directing at the Film University Potsdam Babelsberg Konrad Wolf.
She has worked on several international film productions including Danny Boyle’s
Slumdog Millionaire, Lars von Trier’s Antichrist and Mira Nair’s The Migration.
She holds a Master’s Degree in mass communication and a Bachelor’s Degree in English
literature. She is an alumni of Berlinale Talents and of the Into the Wild Mentoring
Programme.

She is currently preparing her next feature Eunuch with Schiwago Film Berlin. Her
coming-of-age drama feature 'O' has received the BKM grant for script development and
her Sci-fi mystery series 'GOA' part of the Medienboard Artist-in-Residence-Program.

Udita Bhargava wurde 1982 in Indien geboren.
DUST, eine deutsch-indische Koproduktion, war ihr erster langer Spielfilm, der seine Premiere 2019 auf der Berlinale feierte. Ihre Kurzfilme wurden auf Filmfestivals in der ganzen Welt gezeigt. Imraan, c/o Carrom Club, wurde bei den Internationalen Kurzfilmtagen in Oberhausen mit dem 3SAT Förderpreis ausgezeichnet.

Sie studierte Regie an der Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF und arbeitete als Kameraassistentin, Fotografin und Postproduktionsassistentin in mehreren internationalen Produktionen mit, darunter Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire, Mira Nair's The Migration und Lars von Trier's Antichrist.

Sie hat einen Master in Kommunikationswissenschaften und einen Bachelor in Englischer Literatur. Sie hat am Berlinale Talents und an Into the Wild Mentoring Programm teilgenommen.

Derzeit bereitet sie ihren Kinofilm Eunuch mit Schiwago Film Berlin vor. Ihr
Coming-of-Age Drama 'O' hat die BKM Drehbuchförderung bekommen. Sie
entwickelt weiterhin eine Sci-fi Mystery Serie GOA.
